HER STORY

A Life Built on Purpose

Trish Morris is a South Philadelphia native with over 40 years of experience in performing arts, education, and community empowerment. Her passion for dance was nurtured under Duane Wilkins and Stacy Williams at the Marian Anderson Recreation Center, and her artistic vision was shaped by the mentorship of Faye B. Snow. She earned her B.F.A. in Dance Education from the University of the Arts.

As a performer and choreographer, Trish served as Principal Dancer and choreographer at Eleone Dance Theater under Shawn Lamere Williams and Sheila E. Ward, and as Principal Dancer with the Chuck Davis African American Dance Ensemble. She has produced and directed numerous dance productions and served as Artistic Director of Collaboration Works. Her training spans dance education and African diasporic traditions, and she credits Karen McCain and Dr. Jeff Friedman with shaping her vision of dance as both performance and healing practice.

Trish has built a parallel path as an administrator and behavioral educator, serving Philadelphia schools as both an arts educator and Dean of Students. She holds an M.S. in Applied Behavior Analysis and is a Registered Behavior Technician, bringing a strong background in social work, mental health, and behavioral health services. As co-founder of Core Artistry Collective she remains devoted to creating spaces where all feel seen, cared for, and loved.
